The Karnataka Theological College celebrated the 79th Independence Day on 15th August 2025 with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The program began with a spirited parade march by the students, escorting the Chief Guest, Mr. Sunil Kumar Bajal. The event was compered by Mr. Suneeth Harrison Pramodan, who warmly welcomed the Chief Guest, the Principal, staff, and students. Ms. Priyadarshini S. led the opening prayer, invoking God’s blessings on the occasion. The National Flag was unfurled by the Chief Guest, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. In his inspiring address, Mr. Bajal spoke on the true meaning of freedom, the responsibilities it entails, and the importance of acting with integrity to lead the nation towards growth and prosperity with equality. A special patriotic song, presented by a group of KTC students, stirred a deep sense of national pride among the audience. The Principal, Rev. Dr. Hubert Manohar Watson, then introduced the Chief Guest and honored him with a shawl, a garland, and a memento as a token of appreciation. The students also presented a thought-provoking dance drama, highlighting the nation’s enduring motto, “Unity in Diversity.” The Independence Day celebration at KTC was not only a tribute to our nation’s freedom, but also a reminder of our shared duty to uphold and cherish the values that unite us as one people.
