Finale of Post Centenary Platinum Jubilee

The Karnataka Theological College concluded its year-long celebration of 175th Anniversary through a public function on 13th December 2022. The program began with a prayer song led by the KTC students while Rev Dr R Annie Watson, Registrar of the college welcomed the gathering. Rev Dr H.M Watson, Principal of the college led the gathering in the invocation prayer and later presented the report regarding the projects and development that were undertaken during the past year in connection with the celebration. Bishop Dr. P K Samuel, the president of the KACES, presided over and led the thanksgiving prayer. Metropolitan Dr. Zacharias Mar Aprem, President Senate of Serampore College (University) the Chief Guest, shared the message. This celebration marked the unveiling of the Otto Victor Photo, Launching of English Medium BD, Releasing of the Book—Quo Vadis, Releasing of the Enlarged Hymn Kannada Book, Releasing of Kannada Sangeetha Sangrah Tune Book, the Releasing of the KTC Newsletter, the Inauguration of Arch that was constructed at the college entrance, and naming the campus road towards Hebich Technical Institution as Samuel Hebich Street and the road from the Balmatta entrance towards the main campus as Hermann Gundert Street. Guests of honor, Most Rev. Dr. Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangalore Catholic Diocese, Rt. Rev. C. Martin Borgai, Bishop, CSI-Karnataka Northern Diocese, Rt. Rev. Hemachandra Kumar, Bishop CSI-Karnataka Southern Diocese, Dr. Ronald Serrao, Rector, St Joseph’s Catholic Seminary, Mr. Vishal Shiri, President of United Basel Mission Church, Mumbai, shared their greetings at this occasion. The retired Staff Rt. Rev Dr C.L.Furtado, late Rev. Dr H.R. Cabral, Rev. D.I. Hans, late Rev. Dr D. Dhanaraj , Ms. Pramila Shanthi, Mrs. Adeline Dhanaraj, late Mrs. Christabel Kunder, Mr. Jayakumar Salins, late Mr. Sebastian Kunder, Mr. Cyril Maben, Mrs Vinaya Anchan, Mrs Faustine Furtado, Mrs. Aruna Gojar, Mr. Basil Hans were honoured. Choirs from Vishranthi Church; Bishop Sargent Church; Kanthi Church; Udupi Jubilee Church and the Balmatta Musical Association, graced this program by their singing and musical rendition. Rev. Dr Sandeep Theophil, the Convener, delivered the vote of thanks. Dr. Charles Furtado & Ms. Agneita Pengal compered the program.
