The Karnataka Theological College, Balmatta, in collaboration with St Joseph’s Seminary, Jeppu, and the Mangalore Christian Council, hosted the closing worship of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity on 25th January 2025. This ecumenical worship service brought together clergy, students, and laity from various Christian traditions to celebrate unity in Christ. The worship, rich in hymns, scripture readings, and prayers, celebrated unity in diversity under the theme of being “beautifully one in Christ.” Rev. Dr Praveen Joy Saldanhaof St. Joseph Seminary delivered the sermon, calling for deeper fellowship and cooperation among Christians. Intercessory prayers were offered for Christian unity, global peace, national leaders, and the marginalized. The worship concluded with a blessing and the hymn “Blest Be the Tie That Binds,” sending participants forth in the spirit of love and shared mission.
